Good ideas are almost always the result of chance, they wander around in your mind, without making much noise, until they suddenly become obvious. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so Majuno was born, three years ago, simply because Julie was looking for a coffee table. She searched in all directions for months without ever finding what she had in mind. Too tall, too low, never the right colors or materials; the quest for the perfect coffee table became an enigma. And then finally, one day, she found the treasure: a 50s table, a wood and mosaic beauty by the German designer Berthold M\u00fcller-Oerlinghausen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miracles exist. \"People would talk to me about the table. Then, suddenly, this 'inert' object came back to life\" recalls Julie. I saw it as a real source of creative inspiration. The tabletop alone could have been detached from the legs and hung on the wall like a painter's canvas.<\/p>\n\n\n

Come 2021, and this quest leads to Majuno and its vision : to offer a wide range of coffee tables, but also to call on craftsmen such as the late mosaicist M\u00fcller-Oerlinghausen to create exceptional pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Majuno, Julie aims to open up creative horizons and highlight the rare and precious work of craftsmen. She loves materials like straw marquetry, cord and feathers, and no one knows how to work with them like they do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Craftsmanship and interior design have always been intertwined, but according to Julie, the work of these men and women, the skills so often practiced to produce such exceptional pieces, are no longer sufficiently showcased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the idea had formed in her brain, it was time for Julie to gather a team around her : artisans joined from the four corners of the world to create the exceptional tables. And, as for the custom pieces, she visited a furniture manufacturer in the Porto region, home to a rich industrial heritage. They say that the man was a little frightened when she presented her project, but he eventually decided to accept this crazy challenge of custom manufacturing and assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n

In recent decades, mass-produced design has populated our aseptic interiors. Majuno's mission is to offer pieces that resemble their owners, that blend perfectly into their homes. It's a daring challenge, since our product range offers over 2,750 different possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining Julie Shibel are Isabelle, G\u00e9raldine, Dylan, Elodie, Yvan, Alexandra and Edouard, to name just a few. Artisans too, in their own way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
